As always it has been a perfect stay. Maria says now she understands why Mark came back from Africa last time with such a big smile for days. This place is wonderful for the soul. My favorite signing was the young baboon falling out the big tree! Mark says keep your keys in the bowl brother.

My dream was always to come to South Africa and experience the beauty of visiting wild animals in their natural environment. This holiday was the most magical experiences of our lives.

From the moment we arrived, we felt completely at home. Haydn and Christie welcomed us, with the rest of the team, with such a warmth and care, it was like being with old friends.

Everyday brought something new and breathtaking, from close up moments with wildlife to peaceful sunsets that felt almost unreal. You can feel how much heart and soul they have powered into creating this special place, it’s not just somewhere to stay, it’s somewhere to connect, to slow down, and to feel truly alive. A special thank you to the team for their kindness, thoughtfulness, and quiet attention to every detail. They made us feel so cared for throughout our stay, and to the chef- every meal was a joy!

The food was delicious, beautifully presented and made with love and creativity. Haydn’s knowledge and passion for the bush were truly inspiring. No question was ever too small or too many – he shared his insights with such enthusiasm and patience, making every drive an adventure filled with discovery and wonder. We are leaving with full hearts, endless gratitude and memories that will stay with us forever.

We enjoyed it very much coming back to your lodge and the wonderful hospitality of your team! The spectacular view, the animals at het waterhole, special sightings of lions and cheetahs, topped bij the event with the vet treating the lioness.

In the wild beauty of Welgevonden surrounded by roaring lions, strolling elephants (drinking from the pool) and singing birds. We were treated to flavorful meals: bobotie, boerewors and more!

You are all so kind and make us feel really special. Haydn seems to have a nose for being at the right place on the right time while we were driving and knows all the answers to our questions. He explains a lot regarding flora and fauna. So again, thank you all!!
