Pitse is such a unique place. Of more than 30 lodges we have stayed in across Africa, there is more that combine all the attribution of this one.
Ya – there are lodges with excellent food and comfortable accommodation.
But Pitse combines sense of classy, peaceful, unhurried, luxury without all the sometimes silly ‘over the top, out of context’ commercialism.
All of that is created by Christie, Haydn and their amazing staff.
It’s a wonderful place physically and in all service aspects, but the people here really make it!

The experience at Pitse lodge was truly special. The warm hospitality led by Christie and her team, and their attention to detail was extraordinary. Thanks to chef Eugene, we loved everything you made. The food was absolutely amazing. And to top it off, we had the best game ranger in the world to give us an experience of a life time. He knew exactly where to find the animals and positioned the jeep in a perfect location. Some highlights were following the cheetah brothers and watching them drink water up close. Having 3 lionesses pass by the jeep was also magical. Thank you to the whole team for making my 50th birthday celebration an unforgettable experience.

Dear Pitse team,
Thank you so much for another wonderful week at Pitse Lodge! This is the 5th visit for us, and coming to Pitse feels like coming home and is a truly magical place. Everyone makes we feel welcome and at ease.
We have had wonderful meals all week prepared by Eugene, cold and warm drinks served by Vincent and Pieter & the most amazing game drives with Haydn, who answers all questions and always seems truly interested. Same amazing sightings of the lions this time, and we set a new record with the number of animals.
Always sad to leave Pitse, but we will be back! Until next time….
